How does fitness effect our cardiovascular system?
It improves the cardiovascular system, reduces the resting blood pressure and reduces the chances of getting cardiovascular diseases.
How does exercise effecf our body composition?
Exercise helps us with weight control, and burns calories which reduces the risk of obesity and also type two diabetes.
How does exercise effect our muscular strength and endurance?
When we strengthen our muscles, we prevent the loss of bone density and low bone mass, which can lead to osteoporosis.
How does training affect the size of the heart muscle?
Exercise increases the heart muscle size, thickness and also the strength. The chambers increase in volume and the whole heart gets bigger.
What are the other health benefits of exercise?
People who are physically fit may be able to fight off illness more effectively than others. This applies to small things like a commom flu, but also diabetes and heart attacks. The ability to withstand and recover from illness is also related to fitness.
How does sport help emotional health?
Relieves stress and tension (endorphins ‘feel good’ chemicals)

What is social health?
The ability to interact with others, adapt to social situations and form relationships.
