-Damaged teeth
-Bad breath
-Diseases (ex. lung cancer and heart problems)
-addictive
-can get expensive as many people use it globally
-can also affect those who passive smoke which can affect many people the same as a smoker
(breathing in someone’s else’s smoke fumes)
What are the 3 chemical contents in tobacco
-Tar
-Nicotine
-Carbon monoxide
What are the harmful effects of tar?
It can make a smoker cough which can lead to cancer of the lungs, mouth and throat
What are the harmful effects of nicotine?
It’s an addictive substance so our body depends on it. It can increase heart rate and lead to heart disease
What are the harmful effects of carbon monoxide?
It’s a posionous gas which stops the blood carrying oxygen. this can lead to heart disease after a build-up of fatty deposits.
What are the harmful effects of smoke?
It can stop muscus from releasing bacteria. this can lead to brochitis. and from inhaling the smoke, this can lead to oral cancer.
What are the harmful effects of smoking while pregant (to the feteus)?
- Deformation (and/or) Motor/ medical illnesses/disabilties
- Death (miscarriage (and/or) stillbirth)
