The study aimed to investigate whether children would imitate aggressive behaviour they observed in adults.

the study included participants whom where children, aged 3-6, in a nursery school
what is the second step?
children where individually tested for their levels of aggression by observing their behaviour in a playroom.THey were rated by teachers on a scale: low, medium and high aggression.This pretest helped ensure that group were balanced ion terms of aggression.

The children were divided into groups depending on what they scored in their pre-test

the children watched a video of an adult acting aggressive towards a bobo doll. that adult would hit,kick and verbally assault the doll. e.g: ‘kick him!’
what was the non-aggressive model group shown?
the children viewed a video of an adult playing calmly and non-aggressively with toys, ignoring the bobo doll COMPLETELY
what was the control group shown?
this group did not see any model at all
what was step 4?
After viewing the video each child was taken to a room filled with toys, including the bobo doll.they were observed through a mirror.they were given 20 mins to play and researchers recorded instances of aggression
