what does genotype mean?
inherited genetic makeup
what is a phenotype?
the outward behaviour/characteristics of behavioural inheritance an environment
what are monozygotic twins?
1 sperm 1 egg (identical twins)
what are dizygotic twins?
2 sperm 2 eggs (identical twins)
what are neurotransmitters?
they are chemical messengers the send signals to the pre and postsynaptic neurons across the synapse
what are hormones?
chemical messengers released by the glands, that travel through the bloodstream
what the endocrine system?
a collection of glands that release and produce hormones hormones
what is the central nervous system?
part of the nervous system but only includes the spinal cord and the brain
what is the peripheral nervous system?
the nervous system that is everything outside the spinal cord and the brain
what is evolution?
the change in heritable characteristics over many generations
what is a mutation
changes in DNA which can adaptive,maladaptive or have no effect
