What are the 5 things you should check for on a cable slide?
-no kinked or pinched cables
-all cables align with exit holes in
frame
-properly adjusted cables and chains
-all cable but keepers are oriented properly
-all chain connector jam nuts are tight
How do you adjust a sofa slide?
Vertically?
In-out?
Vertically- two carriage bolts
“Out-in”- set screw on the stop block
What is “walking” or racking”?
What can cause it?
Binding and can be caused by broken roll pins
What does an above floor slide need if it has a double ram?
Must be connected by a cross shaft

What is the spacing of the holes for adjust an electric actuator?

When does the electric actuator need to be adjusted?
Only if the threaded rod is too short to make the adjustment

The wiring in the magnet will force the pressure plate and the disc against the brake plate
How much free travel should a hydraulic slide have?

What is a monoplex control system and how does it work?
A control system that will automatically stop at the in our out position. Just need to click the button and it will go till it senses an extra current draw from the motor
Where is the monopoles system usually mounted and why?
Near the motor mechanism to minimize the length of heavy gauge wires
How many wires does a rocket switch usually have and where do they go?
6 wires
1+6 ground
3/4 hot
2+5 motor
What is located on the ground lead off the motor? And why?
A small resistor (0.02 ohms) so that the controller can sense the current
How does the controller switch power to the motor of the mechanism?
With two double-pole, double-throw relays
When the motor is started, what does the controller do?
Ignores the current for approximately 2 seconds to allow for the start up surge
How is the current adjusted on the controller?
What happens if it’s set to high?
To low?
By the Pot.
If it’s set too low it may not go all the way out/in
If it’s set to high it will damage the mechanism or slide facia
How much does the pot move?
270 degrees
What must you use and do before adjusting the current limiter?
A non-metallic screwdriver and discharge static electricity before adjusting
What should be the clearance from the slide room wall to the edge of the room opening for an in-wall slide?
2 7/8” +/-1/8
What is the gear ratio for the in-wall slide motors?
300:1
