Yes but only with food grade silicone grease
Where may the washer drain be connected?
Downstream of the termination valve so the customer must be hooked to the sewer system when using the washer
Where is the dishwasher drain hose connected?
Upstream of the galley sink P-trap
What power do the dryers need?
120 but some may require 240
What style drive end do the ice makes have and why?
The have a D-shaped drive end for positive coupling
What are the 3 mold switches?
Holding switch
Water Valve switch
Shut-off switch
What kind of motor is in the ice makers
Low wattage, stall type motor
A One RPM motor
What does the hold switch do?
It assures completion of a revolution once a cycle has started
What is the purpose of the water valve switch?
It opens the water valve during the fill stage of the cycle
What is the purpose of the shut-off switch?
It’s the switch that stops the ice makers operation when the storage bin is full
How do you test the motor
Disconnect power
Test for continuity between leads
Replace if there is no continuity
How much power does it take to energize the water valve?
Takes 10-15 watts
How much is the coil voltage drop?
105VAC
How are the mold heater and coil wired?
They are wired in series
What is the only adjustment on the ice maker?
Water valve switch
What must you remember when adjusting the water fill?
Make sure it’s level
And never adjust the screw one full turn at a time
What should the water supply pressure be to the ice maker?
Between 15-125psi
What are each colour of wire for? Black? White? Brown? Green?
Black- AC hot to ice maker
White- Ac neutral to Icemaker
Brown- AC Power from ice maker to water valve
Green- safety ground
What may also be included with the water valve?
And when is it energized?
-A heating pad controlled by a t-stat mounted on the rear of the fridge
-It is energized when below freezing
Water fill line also may have a heat tape
