Motor to Superior Oblique to assist in turning eye inferolaterally (or inferiorly when adducted).

OR cornea, skin of forehead, scalp, eyelids, nose and mucosa of nasal cavity and paranasal sinuses.

Sensation from Face
OR skin of face over maxilla, including upper lip, maxillary teeth, mucosa of nose, maxillary sinuses and palate.

Foramen Ovale
Action:
Motor to muscles of Mastication, mylohyoid,
anterior belly of digastric, tensor veli palatini, and tensor
tympani.
CN VI (Abducent Nerve)

Action:
Motor to lateral rectus to turn eye laterally
CN VII (Facial Nerve)

Internal Acoustic Meatus; Facial canal; Stylomastoid foramen
Action:
Motor- Parasympathetic to submandibular and sublingual
salivary glands, lacrimal gland, and glands to nose and
palate.
Motor to muscles of facial expression and scalp, also
stapedius of middle ear, stylohyoid, posterior belly of
digastric
Sensory- Sensation from skin of external acoustic meatus
Taste from anterior two thirds of tongue and palate

Motor to sylopharyngeus to parotid gland (somatic motor)
Parasympathetic innervation to parotid gland (Visceral motor)
Taste from posterior third of tongue (Special sensory)
External ear, pharynx, middle ear (Somatic sensory)
Carotid body and sinus (Visceral sensory)
CN X (Vagus Nerve)

Motor:
Parasympathetic to smooth muscle of trachea, bronchi,
digestive tract, cardiac muscle Motor to constrictors of pharynx, intrinsics of larynx,
muscles of palate, muscles in upper 2/3rds of esophagus
Sensory:
Sensation from auricle, external acoustic meatus, and dura
of posterior cranial fossa
Sensation from base of tongue, pharynx, larynx, trachea,
bronchi, heart, esophagus, stomach, and intestine
Taste from epiglottis and palate
