Radiographers responsibility

A
  • Do not remove sandbags, collars, or dressings.
  • Take all radiographs with these in place.
  • Do not flex the neck or turn it either side. Rotation of
    the head may increase intracranial pressure.
  • Keep patient’s body temperature as normal as possible.
  • Do not allow the patient to become chilled or overheated.
  • Check the patient’s pulse and respirations frequently while
    working with him.
  • Observe for airway obstruction.
