application of ketoconazole shampoo
2 times a week for 2-4 weeks.
Leave in the scapl for 5 mins before washing
seborrheic dermatitis also known as cradle cap

large, greasy, yellow and brown scales
seborrhoeic dermatitis tratment
dentinox shampoo
from birth onwards
2 shampoo applications of 2-3ml until scalp clears
counselling
self limiting
regular washes with baby shampoo and brush
soften the plaque with baby oil or oive oil then brush
Acne
chronic inflammatory disorder of sebaceous follicles of face, chest and back
can be caused by:
increased sebum production
follicular hyperkeratosis
propionibacterium acnes
inflammation
excessive response to hormones
acne treatment
benzoyl peroxide 5% lotions creams gels pads and washes
benzoyl peroxide counselling
apply all over the skin at night
takes up to 4 weeks to work
causes dryness, irritation and peeling
if no response in 2-3 months -> REFER
rosacea and systemic lupus erythematosus(looks like butterfly)
refer
systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE)
NO pustules
systemic symptoms
cold sores
reactivation of herpes simplex virus
initially contracted in childhood
cold sore symptoms
painful small blisters
mouth nose area
cold sore treatment
aciclovir 5% cream (Zovirax)
apply up to 5 times for 5 days
start at tingling stage for maximum effect
