- Commonly on hands, arms face, (sun exposed)

Bowens disease
What is Bowens disease, what are the symptoms?

Pre malignant lesion
- Red, scaly skin usually on sun exposed areas
- Non itchy
- May be confused for an infection that doesnt clear up
How do you treat the pre malignant lesions?
- Cryotherapy
- Perforin cream
- Surgery
- Immunotherapy to increase response

Basal cell carcinoma
What are the characteristics of a basal cell carcinoma?
Pearly papules that have telengectasia
How serious is a BCC?
It invades locally but does not metastasize.
It is very common 3 in 10
What are the risk factors for a BCC?
Male
Age
Fair
Freckly
Repeated sun exposure/burning
What is the treatment for BCC?
Excise
Mohs micrographic surgery if high risk

Squamous cell carcinoma
What are the features of a SCC lesion?
Ulcerating, less defined than BCC and may bleed
How dangerous is a SCC?
Higher chance of mets than a BCC
What are the risk factors of a SCC?
UV exposure (sun or UV)
History of skin cancer
Fair skinned
Immunocompromise
How do you treat a SCC?
Surgery
