Melanoma, nonmelanoma: Basal cell carcinoma and Squamous cell carcinoma

What are some risk factors for skin cancer?
Sun exposure, fair skinned (less melanin), dysplastic nevus syndrome, and scars from heat/chemical burns
What does AO stand for when considering warning signs for secondary prevention of skin cancer?
A sore that doesn’t heal
Obvious change in wart or mole
To detect melanoma used ABCDE, what does it stand for?
Asymmetry of lesion Borders that are irregular Color that is black/dark Diameter >6mm Evolution in size, shape, or color
Which type of skin cancer is this: usually from sun exposure, grows slowly is a translucent pearly color, is scaly and may ulcerate?
Basal cell carcinoma
