Uses: Eczema, psoriasis, lichen planus, lupus erythematous and skin irritation

Side effect: Inflamed hair follicles, contact dermatitis, acne or stretch marks

Contraindications: Hypersensitivity, acne and perioral dermatitis

Example: Hydrocortisone

A category of UNRELATED drugs that are defined by their reduction in the progression of rheumatoid arthritis

Method of Action: Multiple, depends on the drug

Prednisolone: A potent corticosteroid
Cyclosporine: An immunosuppressant (gum overgrowth)
Methatrexate: An immunosuppressant
Hydroxychloroquine: An antimalarial (suppresses IL-1, a pro-inflammatory cytokine)
Infliximab: Biological medication (suppresses TNFα)
