- Median palatine suture (divides the palate in two)
- Trans palatine suture (divides front and back from molar to molar)
What does the foramen magnum do?
Spinal cord passes through here (specifically CN XI)
What does the foramen ovale do?
Mandibular division of the trigeminal nerve
What does the foramen spinosum do?
Caries the middle meningeal artery
What does the foramen rotundum do?
The maxillary division of the trigeminal nerve
What does the carotid canal do?
Caries the internal carotid artery
What does the stylomastoid foramen do?
Where the facial nerve exits the skull
What does the jugular foramen do?
Carries the internal jugular vein
What does the cribriform plate do?
Has foramina for the olfactory nerve
What does the hypoglossal canal do?
Carries the hypoglossal nerve
What does the internal acoustic meatus do?
Carries the facial nerve
What does the superior orbital fissure do?
Trigeminal nerve and blood vessels
What does the external acoustic meatus do?
opening to tympanic cavity
