Sinus bradycardia and sinus tachycardia Flashcards
1
Q
A
Count boxes between R-R to see if regular conduction
Regular P wave indicates functional SAN (upright in lead II and downward in aVR)
P wave present for every QRS = AV association
Wide QRS (more than 3 small little boxes)
Mnemonic for RBBB
MARROW ((M = V1-V3) RR in the middle and W (V5-V6)
2
Q
A
In sinus tachycardia the T and P waves will mush together.
Requires slowing down the heart to acquire definitive differentiation between T and P wave. Either do valsalva manouvre or drugs to slow down heart.
3
Q
What are the 3 conditions that can cause tachycardic narrow regular pattern?
A
- Sinus tachycardia
- SVT
- Atrial flutter
