A
1) The variability is very present. The bullwhip effect can be reduced by a good communication
2) Small safety stock (but not too much!)
3) utilization of historical data.
4) It is important to control the quantity ordered, and be careful not to enter in a “routine” in order decisions.
5) The person at the end of the chain is very crucial to have a good system all behind.
