What is a sign test?
A
Statistical test that determines the significance of sample related items.

When are sign tests used?
A
Looking at aired or related data.
When repeated measures and matched pairs are used.
When the data is nominal, meaning it can be compared.
Must be categorical (includes numbers) to see if difference has deteriorated or improved.

How is the sign test reported?
A
The result is/isn’t significant because the value of S=… is smaller than the critical value=- where N= …at the 0.05 level for a one tailed/two tailed hypothesis.
