Q

Teres Minor Origin

A

upper 2/3 of the lateral border of the scapula

17
Q

Teres Minor Insertion

A

greater tubercle of the humerus (lowest facet)

18
Q

Teres Minor Action

A

laterally rotates the arm

19
Q

Teres Minor Artery

A

circumflex scapular a.

20
Q

Teres Minor Innervation

A

axillary nerve

21
Q

Teres Major Origin

A

dorsal surface of the inferior angle of the scapula

22
Q

Teres Major Insertion

A

crest of the lesser tubercle of the humerus

23
Q

Teres Major Action

A

adducts the arm, medially rotates the arm, assists in arm extension

24
Q

Teres Major Artery

A

circumflex scapular a.

25
Q

Teres Major Innervation

A

subscapular nerve

26
Q

Subscapularis Origin

A

medial two-thirds of the costal surface of the scapula (subscapular fossa)

27
Q

Subscapularis Insertion

A

lesser tubercle of the humerus

28
Q

Subscapularis Action

A

medially rotates the arm; assists extention of the arm

29
Q

Subscapularis Artery

A

subscapular a.

30
Q

Subscapularis Innervation

A

subscapular nerve

31
Q

Quadrangle Space

A

Superior border: inferior border of Teres Minor
Inferior Border: Superior border of Teres Major
Medial Border: Lateral border of Long Head
Lateral Border: Medial border of lateral head

32
Q

Axillary Nerves

A

Deltoid, Teres Minor

33
Q

Collateral Circulation

A

Axillary artery cross the scapula towards humerus and descend inferiorly. If blockage in axillary occurs in scapular region, the subscapular artery can circumvent the blocked area around border of scapula.
