A
Vaginal cephalic delivery requiring additional maneuvers to delivery fetus after head has delivered (gentle traction failed)

What are the risk factors for shoulder dystocia?
A
Obesity, over 35, diabetes, multigravida, Hx, Post dates and slow progress in 1st + 2nd stage

How would you manage shoulder dystocia?
A
Call for help, discourage pushing and lie flat
McRoberts and axial traction
Suprapubic traction and axial traction
Episiotomy if unable to get access with whole hand
Deliver posterior arm or internal rotation
Inform consultant and anesthetist
Repeat all over again (all fours)
Clediotomy, Zavanelli or symphysiotomy
