Major (moderate)= 1000-2000 mls
Major (severe)= >2000 mls

Primary= within 24 hrs of delivery Secondary= between 24hrs and 6 weeks

A
Hx, multiple, APH, BMI>35, over distended uterus, age>35

A
Call for help, alert blood transfusion, ABC, fluid balance, blood transfusion

A
Rub up a contraction Bi-manual compression Syntocinon or ergometrine Syntocinon infusion Tranexamic acid (repeat after 30 mins if continues) Carboprost (every 15 mins up to 8 doses) Misoprostol
