What is the SIRS criteria?

A

2 of 4:

  • Temp higher than 38°C (100.0°F) or lower than 36°C (96.8°F)
  • HR more than 90 beats per minute
  • RR more than 20 breaths per minute or a PaCO2 less than 32mm Hg
  • WBC count of more than 12,000/µL, less than 4,000/µL, or more than 10% Bands

(TTTW==> temp, tachycardia and tachypnea, WBC)

  1. Cultures, Antibiotics, Fluids
  2. 1st line pressor (norepinephrine)
  3. 2nd line pressors and adjunct therapies
