What is the hara and how is it used in shiatsu?
Stomach, used as a diagnostic tool
What is unique about the urinary bladder Meridian?
Has effector points for all other meridians in the body!
Are there specific protocols to follow for shiatsu?
No, it uses rhythmic movement and intuition
What is Kyo? How do you treat Kyo?
Kyo = Empty, flaccid, week. Treat by nourishing with low to medium stationary pressure.
Where is the urinary bladder Meridian?
Runs along sides of spine and down each leg
If an area is Jitsu, what does that mean?
Jitsu means full, tight, excessive. Treatment would include tapotement, and neuromuscular therapy
What is mother son technique?
Mother hands stays stationary and nurtures while the sun hand works around and palpates
Where are yin and yang channels generally located
Yin channels are usually located on medial/front/vulnerable parts of the body. Yang channels are usually found on the back and lateral sides of the body.
