יֹּ֨אמֶר משֶׁ֣ה אֶל־הָעָם֘ אַל־תִּירָ֒אוּ֒ כִּ֗י לְבַֽעֲבוּר֙ נַסּ֣וֹת אֶתְכֶ֔ם בָּ֖א אלוקים וּבַֽעֲב֗וּר תִּֽהְיֶ֧ה יִרְאָת֛וֹ עַל־פְּנֵיכֶ֖ם לְבִלְתִּ֥י תֶֽחֱטָֽאוּ:
Moshe said to the nation, “do not fear bc for the purpose of נַסּ֣וֹת
that is why HaShem came
and for the purpose of that
this fear will be on ur face

what does נַסּ֣וֹת mean
לְבַֽעֲבוּר נַסּוֹת אֶתְכֶם.
for the purpose of “נַסּוֹת” you
לְגַדֵּל אֶתְכֶם בָּעוֹלָם
to make u great in the world
שֶׁיֵּצֵא לָכֶם שֵׁם בָּאֻמּוֹת
that you will be known amongst the nations, you will be talked about
שֶׁהוּא בִּכְבוֹדוֹ נִגְלָה עֲלֵיכֶם:
that HE (HaShem) in his glory revealed Himself to you
First Meaning of Nasos:
At Har Sinai, HaShem was raising us up like flags to make us great
“For the purpose fo exalting you”
נַסּוֹת. לְשׁוֹן הֲרָמָה וּגְדֻלָּה, כְּמוֹ
Nasos is an expression fo rising up and making great
הָרִימוּ נֵס
“raise a banner”
אָרִים נִסִּי
“I will raise my banner”
כַנֵּס עַל הַגִּבְעָה
“as a banner on the hill”
שֶׁהוּא זָקוּף:
that stands straight
