Can cook it on the lowest heat which helps with preparation and keeping the melachot as you cannot create light

- Wine is blessed as it shows the joyfullness of the night and how special it it
- Challah is blessed and spread around

A ceremony that welcomes shabbat into the house bu lighting 2 or more candles.
After lighting the candles she does a beckaning hand sign to welcome Shabbat into the home.
When lighting the candle and saying the blessings the women wears a veil

- Box of spices is passed around for everone to smell as it reminds them Shabbat is the spice of the week and that it is over

- Song of Elijiah is sung as a reminder that keeping the sabbath properly will allow the Messiah to come
