- Low rotor rpm recognition and recovery
- Effects of Low g and proper recover
Flight Review Conditions
Flight reviews are only valid for SPECIFIC AIRCRAFT review was conducted in.
- R-22 review is NOT valid for R-44 and vice versa
Mast Bumping
When the rotor system exceeds the flapping limits, causing the rotor hub to contact the mast, resulting in mast damage or separation of the main rotor system.
Causes
- Low G
Low G
When the rotor disk is no longer supporting the weight of the helicopter during flight.
- Abrupt fore cyclic, esp from S&L or a climb
- Turbulence induced inputs
Symptoms
- Weightlessness
- Uncontrolled roll to the right
Correction
- Immediate, smooth aft cyclic to reload rotors
- Once stable, roll to level attitude
