What is the difference between GFR and creatinine clearance?
A
Creatinine clearance approximates GFR but overestimates it due to the fact that
creatinine is secreted by the proximal tubule as well as filtered by the glomerulus.

What does the term myogenic response mean?
A
Smooth muscle in blood vessels respond to transmural pressure elevation with
constriction and to pressure reduction with dilation

How much water, sodium and chloride is reabsorbed in the PCT?
A
In the proximal tubule, about 70% of filtered water and sodium and chloride ions are
reabsorbed.
