what is most common site of sepsis?
lung
give vitals for sepsis - temp, HR, resp rate, WCC, systolic BP
temp - <36 or >38
HR >90bpm
RR - >20 breaths pm
WCC - >12 or <4x10^12
systolic BP - <100/- (low BP)
give two features present on skin indicating sepsis
rash does not blanch w/ pressure
cyanosis of lips/skin/tongue
give SEPSIS accronym
Slurred speech
Extreme shivering
Passed no urine in a day
Severe breathlessness
Illness (so bad feel they’re dying)
Skin mottled/ashen
give sepsis 6 - things that should be given/measured when sepsis suspcted
give 02 - SATS above 94%
blood cultures & U&Es
empirical IV antibiotics
IV fluid
serum lactate
urine output
