3 arms of the gov should be separate so no one has too much power.
They can keep each other in check = democratic.

How does the Lord Chancellor overlap?
A
Due to the constitutional Reform Act 2005 instead of being the head he manages the Judiciary and the courts. He is an MP ( legislative ) and a member of the cabinet ( executive )
