What are the possible effects of Intravenous method?
- Itchiness
- Vomiting
- Nausea
-Dizziness
no treatment is necessary , observation is of
greatest importance and the patient may exhibit
a.“metallic taste” in the mouth
b. Nausea

d. flushing of skin
e. mild urticaria (hives)
Mild
- requires some treatment such as histamine, but patients do not have to be hospitalized.
The patient may also exhibit:
- mild drop in Blood Pressure
- urticaria of increased severity
Moderate
–requires some hospitalization and are
possibly life threatening.
The patient may exhibit:
- prolong drop in blood pressure
- collapse of circulatory system
- angina (chest pain)
- cardiac arrhythmia
- coma, convulsion, and paralysis
Severe
the rarest type, occurs about one in every
20,000 examinations.
Fatal
generally administered intramuscularly
commonly used for moderately
severe allergic reactions
