- 4 incineration plants (incinerating 8000 tonnes of waste a day as of 2017) -> energy created through burning is enough to power 125,000 4 bed flats
- reduces waste by 90%
- ash has metal removed + after sprayed on it so it doesn’t come out during transportation
- underneath where they are dumping it is lined with a 7km perimeter impermeable membrane
