Selective exposure Flashcards

1
Q

How does selective exposure conntect with mood management

A

Based on their mood people select what they want to see and what they do not want to see. Therefore they select media that is in line with how they are feeling and what there believes are. If they feel sad they would like to watch something that makes them happy and something that makes them happy is in line with their beliefs.

Q

How does source credibility influence technology cues

A

It can be a determining factor if the source is reliable when chosing information. Especially when it is about a serious topic. So technology cues are less important because the messenger of the information determines if the information will be selected
