S+S of Increased Intracranial Pressure
A
- severe headache, nausea + vomiting, increased BP, change in LOC, hyperthermia, bradycardia

Seizure Care
A
- ensure patent airway (sedation may be required if teeth are clenched
- monitor vitals, LOC, pupils
- apply oxygen as needed
- suction as needed
- ensure safety - never restrain
- establish IV access
- administer benzos (valium/diazepam, lorazepam/ativan, midazolam)
- side lying position if possible
- IV dextrose for hypoglycemia
- reassure and orient after

Status Epilepticus

- state of continuous seizure activity or seizures reoccurring in rapid succession
- greater than 5 minutes or not returning to regular consciousness in between

Clinical Manifestations of Parkinson’s
A
- flat affect
- tremor, rigidity, bradykinesia = classic triad
- slow, monotone, slurred speech
- tremor
- short shuffling gait
- forward tilt to posture
- decreased arm swing
