An airline pilot specially trained by TSA serving as federal law enforcement officer
People who can carry weapons on aircraft
- Federal law enforcement officer (LEO) or full-time state, county, tribal authority, or municipal LEO authorized by their agency to travel armed
- LEOs or military police escorting prisoner. Officers returning from prisoner escort may carry weapon provided they have proper authorization.
- pilots who are deputized as Federal Flight Deck Officers (FFDOs)
- Other persons specially authorized by the Company Security Department, if proper credentials are provided

EX:
-9/11 (1,000 of fatalities/ mass destruction)
Must be thought of attempt to take control flight deck to use aircraft as a weapon.

Threat Level 1 (Goal)
To identify and resolve problems early and to diffuse and contain a problem so it doesn’t escalate.
Threat Level 2 (Goal)
To prevent further physical contact and injury and diffuse and contain the situation
Threat Level 3 (Goal)
To subdue the offenders as necessary, prevent further physical contact, and injury, and to diffuse the situation
Threat Level 4 (Goal)
Crewmembers will take any and all actions necessary to subdue the offenders and maintain control of their aircraft
