What does the code of ethics say regarding integrity?
Responsibility to client/employer is to charge only what is fair and due and not to accept compensation from more than one client for the same work without consent of all.

Members in public and private life will always conduct themselves honourably in ways to sustain and enhance individual and entire proffessions integrity.

What are the three elements of integrity?
Respectful regard, confidentiality, appropriate communication
What does respectful regard mean?
Recognizing that a persons work/opinions/judgements are based on expereince and training, education etc snd has earned the rigt to being given consideration weight and credibility.
What is confidentiality?
According to code of ethics bylaw, not disclosing info without consent and refusing assignments creating a conflict of interest or appearance thereof
What is appropriate communication?
Listen and ask questions, proactive consultaion, prompt response to questions and concerns, awareness of local events and interests, document all communication accurately,
What is integrity?
Being of sound moral principle. Honest, sincere and upright.
Who is the public?
Ranges from indviduals to global with interests that are fluid in space and time

Historical connection to land with personal and collective well being interests to this day
How does a forest professional decide what level of public interest is relevant to their work?
Depends on the level of planning, as stand level plans likely affect people at a local level but higher level plans will include governments special interest groups etc.

Consult proactively, clearly, establish and keep good relationships, know the community, listen to all inout and be responsive to concerns

When reporting on snd identifying an issue of practice detrimental to good forest stewardship, what must you do initially?
Try to identify if it is a matter of legitimate difference in application of professional judgement rather than result. Professional care must be taken
What are ways to work to improve good forest stewardship?
Develop local best practices, advocate for improvement, monitor practices and oolicies, consult public, mentors, specialists, continued education
What are the steps to providing a statement of professional opinion/resposnse?
Delcare on whose behalf you are speaking, state negative and positive aspects of all positions, not supress information or misrepresent facts, succinctly set record straight
What should a member do if there is conflict among objectives?
Weigh which they think should prevail and provide a rationale for the preferrence, and rejection of this preferrence does not compromise integrity.
What must you do if concerned about a conflict of interest?
Delcare concern to affected parties and if they do not agree in writing to a resolution then member must withdraw from the assignment.

Course , workshop presntation related to work conpetence, self improvement hours including committee meetings or technical readings, holding office for a committee, spending more than 10% of work practising forestry

Sound work, stewardship, considerations, analysis, balanced, clear rationale, error free, legal

Competent members must use the degree of due care a prudent provessional would use in similar circumstances

Clear and quantifiable or verifiable outcomes with a quality rationale as to methods used in measuring or verifying
