A

the virginia plan called for a bicameral legislature. house members would be elected by popular vote, senators were to be chosen by house members. representation would be based upon a state’s population, unless they paid extra for another congressmen. and finally, it supported having only one president.

A

it called for a unicameral legislature. ALL lawmakers were to be elected by popular vote. every state would be represented equally, meaning every state would have the same # of congressmen. congress would be given limited powers to tax and regulate trade, and we would have multiple presidents.

what was the connecticut compromise?

A

it combined the virginia and new jersey plan.
it called for a bicameral legislature.
you would vote for your representatives, and the US senators would be chosen by members of your state legislature. (this was changed with the 17th amendment)
the states would be represented equally in the senate, and the house would be represented based off of population. there would be 3 separate branches of gov, congress to be given limited powers to tax and regulate trade, and we would have only 1 president.
