what was the stamp act?
requirement of the use of tax stamps on all legal documents, including marriage licenses, business agreements, and newspapers.
how did the colonists protest the stamp act?
by sending letters to the king and by boycotting english goods. many colonists continued the boycotts even after it was repealed.
what was the boston massacre?
when british troops fired into an angry crowd, killing 5 people.
what were the effects of the boston massacre?
organized resistance to british policies, as well as the boston tea party.
what were the intolerable acts?
even harsher and stricter trade restrictions and taxes than ever before.

all of them but georgia, who wanted to resist in their own way

it was an important meeting where the leaders of twelve of the colonies got together to decide as a group what to do next.
the declaration of rights was a combination of two things, what were they?
1) the colonists made a specific list of everything the british had done that had made them so mad
