Q

What is the WaveCache used for?

A

The WaveCache stores a graphical representation of the waveforms from the session. If this file is deleted, Pro Tools will generate a new one the next time a session is loaded. This may mean the session takes longer to load.

Q

What kind of commands can be found under the Pro Tools Options Menu?

How does this differ to the Setup Menu?

A

Inside the options menu you will find different options for how Pro Tools records and plays back audio such as loop record and loop playback functions. These can be toggled on and off. This is different from the setup menu in that the setup menu contains more fixed information such as what playback engine to use, I/O, routing etc..
