What are the advised daily units for men and women?
men: 3-4 units
women: 2-3 units
What is binge drinking?
Where an individual regularly consumes excessive alcohol in a single sessions, usually with the objective of getting drunk
What is Blood Alcohol Concentration (BAC)?
The amount of alcohol that is in the bloodstream at any given time
When does BAC begin to fall?
Usually around 20 minutes after the last drink
Approximately how long does it take to remove one unit of alcohol from the body?
1 hour
What is the BAC level which makes it an offence to drive?
A BAC of 80mg of alcohol in 100ml of blood
