What is a seborrheic keratosis
A
Benign growth on the skin

Seborrheic keratosis presentation
A
Typically >40 yrs old
Very well demarcated lesion on skin, often pigmented but not always (stuck-on appearance)
Mainly on trunk but can appear anywhere
May be itchy and can catch on clothing and bleed
May be surrounding inflammation

Seborrheic keratosis differentials
A
Malignant melanoma, pigmented basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma

Seborrheic keratosis causes
A
Proliferation of the basal layer of the epidermis

Seborrheic keratosis management
A
Reassurance, don’t need to do anything
Can have superficial cryotherapy
