A
  • Timber is stacked in open shed to protect it from sun and rain
  • Sticks are placed between boards to allow air to circulate between them

A
  1. Timber is stacked on trolleys
  2. Steam is introduced - soaks wood
  3. After some time, humidity is reduced and steam is drawn out by fans
  4. Heat is gradually introduced and temperature is raised
  5. Hot dry air circulates until wood moisture is at required level
