- How it is applied.
- Time taken to cure.
- Strength required.
- Area to be covered/amount needed.
- Does it need to set in the absence of air?
2
Q
Wood adhesives: PVA
(Strengths and weaknesses, curing times)
A
- Strong wood glue
- Not waterproof
- 2-3 hours
3
Q
Wood adhesives: Cascamite
(Strengths and weaknesses, curing times)
A
- Comes in powder form and is mixed with water to make a thin paste
- Stronger than PVA, water and heat resistant, durable and non staining
- Air not needed
- 4-6 hours

Q
Wood adhesives: Aerolite
(Strengths and weaknesses, curing times)
A
- Powder + water makes a paste which is added to hardener
- Stronger than PVA, waterproof
- Air not needed
- 4-6 hours
5
Q
Wood adhesives: Contact (impact) Adhesive
(Strengths and weaknesses, curing times)
A
- Flexible over large area
- Must be used in well ventilated area
6
Q
Wood adhesives: Epoxy resin
(Strengths and weaknesses, curing times)
