What is an abstract
A
- summary of entire research in 150-200 words written last out of all sections but is at the beginning of the report
- allows the reader to know if the report is relevant and worth reading

What is the introduction
A
- gives background information around the research area, includes previous research and justification as to why the current research is being conducted

What is the method section
A
- section that allows other researchers to replicate the research
- includes the study design, the sample and how it was gathered, materials and equipment and a complete standardised procedure

A
- an objective summary of the data collected
- includes descriptive stats in tables and graphs

What is the discussion section
A
- the objective findings and data is discussed
- the hypothesis is accepted or rejected
- implications of the research are discussed
- links with other research
- criticisms of their own research and suggestions to improve in replications

A
- an alphabetical list of all researchers names used as a part of the development of the paper
