What is schizophreniform disorder

Answer 1

Characterised by some active symptoms of schizophrenia eg delusion, hallucinations, disorganised speech, grossly disorganised behaviour or negative symptoms
Last 1-6 months
No prodromal or residual phase features of social or occupational impairment.

Answer 2

A - 2 or more of the following present for a 1 month with one being 1, 2, 3.
1- Delusions
2 -Hallucinations
3 - Disorganised speech
4 - grossly disorganised or catatonic behaviour
5 - negative symptoms
B - at episodes of the disorder lasts 1 - 6m
C - Rule out schizoaffective disorder or Depression or bipolar
D - Not due to drug
