What is the most appropriate investigation for a left lower limb swelling?
D-dimer are often persistently elevated thoughout pregnancy so it is useless in pregnancy (D-dimer is useful for ruling it out not diagnosing)
D-dimer is also useful if you’re distinguishing between cellulitis and DVT
Doppler ultrasound lower limb is the most useful in this case.
What is the most common cause of stiff neck, gram negative diplococci, segmented neutrophils? What is an adrenal complication?
Nesseria meningitidis - this is a BACTERIAL MENINGITIS
Adrenal haemorrhage –> hypoadrenalism - Waterhouse–Friderichsen syndrome

Vascular dementia - step-wise progression, typical deficits –> e.g. hemiparesis.
Emotional component (frontal dementia)
Lewy body dementia is typically associated with Parkinsonism

Aphasias usually occur when the dominant part of the brain is affected.
When doing a neurology exam you should ask about hand dominance.
Right MCA - supplies most of the sensorimotor cortex so causes sensorimotor symptoms
What is the difference between pancreatitis and alcoholic hepatitis(bloods)?
Bilirubin, ALT/AST would be very high compared to pancreatitis. In pancreatitis you have very high AMYLASE
