A
- achieve your goals (alcançar)
- you won’t put in the time (você não dedicará seu tempo)
- you’re relying entirely on your imagination to convert all these words into meaning (confiando inteiramente)

Be patient

- you’ll remember that so far we’ve discussed the need to spend a lot of time (você se lembrará de que, até agora, discutimos a necessidade de passar muito tempo)
- I see more frustrated language learners who get upset because they forget words (ficam chateados)
- certain parts of it they just don’t understand (algumas partes simplesmente não são compreendidas)
- Maybe the day before you felt you were doing very well and all of a sudden you can’t say what you want to say (Talvez no dia anterior você tenha achado que estava indo muito bem e, de repente, não consegue dizer o que gostaria de dizer)

- you have to be confident as you continue and persevere in your studies and that you’re doing things you like to do (é preciso ter confiança para continuar e perseverar nos estudos e fazer o que gosta)
- Even if I’m talking to people, of course I’m listening and I’m noticing (Mesmo que eu esteja conversando com as pessoas, é claro que estou ouvindo e observando)
- All of this is gradually improving my capability in the language (Tudo isso está melhorando gradualmente minha capacidade no idioma)
- it’s not going to be overnight ( não será da noite para o dia)
- It may take six months for certain things to sink in, but all of a sudden they do (Pode levar seis meses para que certas coisas sejam assimiladas, mas de repente elas são)
- Almost without realizing it (and I’ve had this feeling), I’ll go back to a text that I struggled with two-three months, four months earlier (Quase sem perceber (e já tive essa sensação), voltarei a um texto com o qual lutei dois, três ou quatro meses antes)
