Give a definition of the term Sanctification.
From the Hebrew and Greek, “to be set apart” from common use, “to be made holy.” It is twofold, holy through Christ and made holy through the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. A cleaning up process of life.
What has sanctification meant in your life?
I have seen myself change over my Christian life and I have seen old sin fall away.
What is the relationship between justification and sanctification?
Justification is a moment in time where a believer passes from death to life.
Sanctification is the life process of God moving us closer to himself.
What significance does sanctification have to your personal lifestyle?
I am reminded that God is at wok in my life, and that his work will continue until I am with him in eternity.
Why must holiness be a characteristic of God’s people?
God calls us to be holy as God is holy.

What is meant by positional sanctification?
At justification each believer is seen as fully holy and blameless. God sees us through his Son.
What is meant by experiential sanctification?
The points in time where we experience times of growth and movement closer to God.
Explain why there is a crisis connected with experiential sanctification?
Through our crisis’ we should grasp God tighter and major leads in drawing loser can happen.
In what way is progression connected with experiential sanctification?
Progress is made through our experiences as God leas us.
In what way is the believer “dead to sin and alive to God?”
In so much as sin no longer holds power over the believer. Romans 6:14
What steps would you develop through discipleship to lead your people into sanctification?
- Teaching on the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
- Teaching on victory over sin.
- Concrete examples of how it is done.
What relationship does sanctification have to Christian service?
Through service we can learn humility, which can teach us compassion, which brings us closer to the image of Christ.
What is meant by the phrase, “the indwelling Christ?”
Christ truly living his life of holiness through and in conjunction with the believer.
What are scriptural evidences of a sanctified life?
- The fruits of the Spirit (Gal 5:22-23; Romans 15:13)
- Transformed mind (Romain 12:1-2)
How does sanctification relate to the Lordship of Christ?
Through the sanctification process. Christ becomes Lord and his reign over the believer’s life becomes fuller.
