Q

How do you conduct random sampling?

A
  1. list members of population using numbers or names
  2. use a computerised random generator or lottery method to select member
  3. do this until you’ve filled your sample size

Q

How do you conduct systematic sampling?

A
  1. give each member of population a number
  2. divide the population size by the sample size to find the intervals for which the members ar selected
  3. then select the person you will start with using random sampling
  4. keep picking nth person until sample size is filled

Q

How do you conduct statified sampling?

A

Q

How do you determine how many people, from each stata, will be included in the sample?

in stratified sampling

A
  1. divide the number of items in the stratum by the number of items in the entire population
  2. then multiply that by the total sample size
