a type of investigation where a hypothesis is tested through the manipulation of an independent variable to see it’s effect on dependent variable

a statement of what the purpose and objective of the experiment is (created by the researcher)

a precise, testable statement of the relation between two variables and will predict the outcome of an experiment

A
when the same participants are allocated to the same conditions
