Use dipped headlights even in daylight. If visibility falls below 100m, use fog lights.
What is aquaplaning? What should you do?
When it’s heavily raining, the tyres lift off the road and skate on the water. The steering becomes light. If this happens
- Ease off the accelerator
- Dont brake until steering feels normal
What should you do before a right hand bend?
Keep well to the left.
What are the benefits of a four wheel drive vehicle?
It has improved road holding - extra grip
What are rumble devices (raised markings across the road) used for>
- Alerting you to a hazard
- Encouraging you to reduce speed
When should you inflate your tyres to a higher pressure?
When driving a heavy load
