It coul cause an accident as it is dangerous
When to check battery levels and how?
Dont check if maintenance free batteries
May need topping up with distilled water to just aboce cell plates
When to check tyre pressures and how?
At least once a week
Do in cold for more accurate reading
Under inflated tyres can effect what?
Steering, it will feel heavy
Fuel consumption, it may increase

What must tyre tread be?
1.6mm deep across the central 3/4s of the breadth of the tyre and around the entire circumfrance

It should go out once the vehicle reaches 5-10mph, if it doesnt get it checked
How to check condition of shock absorbers?
‘bounce’ the vehicle, push down hard on each corner, it shouldnt continue to bounce when released
When to consult a garage as soon as possible?
The steering vibrates, the wheels may need balancing
The vehicle pulls to one side when you break, your breaks may need adjusting
Explain babies and airbags
never fit a rear facing baby seat in a seat protected by an airbag, this could cause fatal injuries, the air bag must be deactivated first
