A seperate lane on a motorway where there is steep uphill for slow vehicles to use

Are able to stop and direct anyone on motorway or an ‘A’ road, and respond to calls made on roadside emergency telephones

face oncoming traffic to see any hazards, check location number and giv3e it to the emergency services
How to join road from hard shoyulder?
gain speed and move out in a gap
If cant get onto hard shoulder when broken down what to do?
swithc on hazards and leave your vehicle only when youcan get clear of the carrigeway safely
What vehicles arent allowed on motorways?
pedestrains, horses, bikes, motobikes under 50cc, most powered wheelchairs or mobility scooters, agrictultural behicles, certain slow moving vehicles
